All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm. All the paper kids drinking beer some bum bought for them at the paper convenience store. Everyone demented with the mania of owning things. All the things paper-thin and paper-frail. And all the people, too. I’ve lived here for eighteen years and I have never once in my life come across anyone who cares about anything that matters.

There’s this thing, right? It is called the apex predator, right? And basically what this is is the strongest animal in the ecosystem, right? And as human beings, we’re considered the apex predator, but only because smaller animals can’t feed on us because of weapons and stuff, right?. A lion does not feel guilty when it kills a gazelle, right? You do not feel guilty when you squash a fly. And I think that means something. I just think that really means something.
